Email notifications

IS anybody getting email notifications to the threads they are subscribed to? I don't seem to be getting any.

I started getting an indication that a mail had arrived - but no "sender" and no message:confused:
Eventually I realised it must be notifications from the forum but even these "blanks" have stopped now:confused::confused:

I have not received any email notification in months, they stopped right after a software update was made to the forum.

We've mentioned it too ...and does anyone have any ideas why I'm NOT getting notifications of responses to threads I'm in? In Alissa's thread (http://theswampbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22291). Thought Bryan had done more than enough getting us up and running :goldcup: so didn't bother...

Well, seems like I'm getting both blank and valid notifications. Haven't compared to see if they are from the same thread, but they are sent at different times...if this helps.

I received an answer to a question i wrote in http://theswampbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22413, but, 24 hours later, i haven't got any notification via email !

Same here: one or two every day !

...must be someone knowing this site and having picked the email addresses of members, hey ? BUT... why empty messages ? What's the plan ?

I think that the email notifcations have gone wrong since Swampy had the server go down and he had to replace it. With his current troubles I haven't bothered him.

When we moved the server from Unix to Windows we had to also change the mail service. There seems to be a bug with the new one. I am looking to either fix it, replace it, or junk it. :) Will keep you posted.

Grrr.. I will look into it. I know a lot of spam blockers are blocking emails back to the fmount.s2pro@gmail.com.

I took a bat :beat: to Google and have emails going out again.

Going to set up a mail monitor so I can get alerted if it fails.

Once again outgoing emails were hosed up. Have a new solution in place. Fingers crossed.
