Lighting setup for election campaign?

In the weekend I must shoot a portrait of a man for a election campaign. The problem is I don't know how to do that, artistic or flat portrais?
Please give me some ideas.

Based on the portraits I've seen that you have taken, you will take a great portrait without anyone's help. Do what you have always done...the results will be terrific.
