And finally...there is something a little off to this one that I can't put my finger on, but it is the grandparents favorite.

Great shots! The thing that is off are the catch lights in his eyes in that last pic, they look alien.
Did you use a fill flash?

Yes, I did use fill flash from an SB50 DX on this shot and no flash on the others. I don't know if that's what looks odd to me or not.

Great shots, all three. The thing that struck me as different in the last one is the child's jaw. I imagine the grandparent likes it best because they see 'attitude' that someone unfamiliar with the child wouldn't recognize. Good going!

Thanks for the praise Linda,

The thing I like best about all of these shots (particularly the first two), is how much older our son looks. Most people that see them can't believe he was only 21 months old when they were taken.
