Now all of us that like to use the high burst rates available will have ample room to store those shots for a full week's worth of shooting. Can you imagine that much storage space. it would be possible to have a total of 96GB on your D3 with the dual card slots.

Can you imagine that much storage space.Watch your self Tony, those words have been eaten before... :woot:
While I agree, what a trip to shoot for almost a week before I have to charge up the battery... and oh ya maybe check the CF card too. :)

I'll wait for a TB or two before selling my 4gb cards... I mean, if you're gonna upgrade it may as well be a big step forward.
Seriously though, I just saw an article on a SD card (I think) that has built in wireless... How crazy is that?

I don't understand your tag line, it's Greek to me.
Wow, I hope I didn't type that out loud :)

The pictures are still there. All you have to do is have some software that will read them and store them to your hard disk.

Sometimes that will work sometimes not though. My brother couldn't access a card of his on a long cruise we were on and I tried a couple of different recovery packages and almost half of the images where combined with other images so on one side, you had half of one pic and the other side, you had half of another pic. The best I could do was spend a lot of time cutting halves and pasting them together to save the memories more so. I mean, they were definitely not award winning images, but it was a large family get together for a funeral.
Oh, and if I remember, it took a LONG time to handle the 512mb card, wonder what it would be like with 100 times more? :)
