I am off om a short vacation in a weeks time and thought a Nikon MB200 battery grip may come in useful. Anyone here use one and know where the I can obtain one in such short notice?

I am far , very far from you. I would not know where to tell you toi get the grip. However, the great thing about the grip is that you could carry another battery in your pocket or bag, but having the grip gives you a little better handle on the camera and you can shoot with no battery interruptions on your vacation. I hae a grip on both cameras. My D200 and S5.

I love my MB-D200 ! I ordered it soon after having bought my D200 last autumn, and it NEVER left my camera !

The rare times i take it off are when i shoot landscapes with slowy shutter-speed: i found the MB-D200 helps camera shaking under 1:60, when on tripod !

Cheers,
