We are currently experiencing heavy snowfall and wind. Power has gone out 3 times already and is currently out. Not sure how long this one will be and if there will be any others. My batteries are good for about an hour total... So we'll see.

Nope, not swearing at you. I like snow. I've been spending a lot of time out on the quad playing in between plowing.

Power is still flicking on and off and went down for an hour on one of the flicks. But for the most part, the UPS's are handling it all. Well, except Connie's work stuff. Jabbermouth ran her battery down in 30 minutes with her laptop and Polycom speakerphone. Guess I'll have to get a bigger one for her.

Moved 12 inches of snow earlier and stopped at about 11am. There's another 10-12 inches out there already. We're supposed to get a lot more throughout the day and through out the night into tomorrow morning before it stops. If it keeps going like this, wew'll measure past the 35" mark by tomorrow morning.

Here's what I have to look forward to moving forward. I'm about as southern Douglas County as you can get BTW.

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect Until 6 Am Mdt
Wednesday...

Warning Message:A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am MDT
Wednesday.
Heavy snow and gusty winds will continue through tonight. Total
snow accumulations of 7 to 15 inches are expected with the
highest amounts likely in southern Douglas and Elbert counties.
Strong northerly winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to
45 mph will create poor visibilities at times.
Residents in Douglas and Elbert counties should plan on heavy
snowfall later today and tonight. Travel will become difficult in
some areas. Be prepared for possible power outages from downed
tree limbs and power lines.

OK. Lets see what happens now.

Update: Lost power for split seconds over the course of the evening, then lost power at around midnight for an hour. Everything seemed to be up and ok. Then sometime after 2am, the ISP dropped.

Calling them every "ETA point" and bugging them, they finally appear to be back up as of about 12:15pm today.

All the while the ISP was down this morning, we had split second power outtages some more and even one that lasted about 30 minutes.

Everything on my side stayed up for the duration however so all the down time was the ISP's fault.

Lets hope that all issues are resolved.

Snow stopped around 2am this morning finally. We have somewhere between 28-35 inches on the ground, but it's melting REAL fast. Funny place this place is.

Nice work keeping things up for us Swampy! ...you now have a hardened setup! :righton:

Hasn't snowed here in maybe 10 days, its spring! Can tell by the roar of the avalanches, waterfalls are beginning to run again and bear prints in the gravels. Only about 3' + or so of that white stuff left.
