Just got my S2 yesterday. Loaded the software. I did some test shots in ccd raw format, loaded them on computer, converted them to tiff. When I open the files in adobe I get the following message "Unsupported color depth. Convert to default color?". Did I do something wrong when loading the software or converting the file? Help! New to camera and software.

By the way, I love this sight. I have learned a lot just going through the threads.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Hello,

If you saved the files as 16 bit Tiffs during the conversion, and if you are using PS Elements, this is normal. Elements, as far as I know, does not support anything above an 8 bit file. So, you can continue to convert them as 16 bit files and then have Elements convert them down to 8, or you can chose the 8 bit sRGB Tiff format during conversion, and they will import into Elements seamlessly.

Hope this helps,

Justin
