Hi all,

The time came to have a go with the S3, I have not really used this, sticking mainly with my D70. So enlisting the help of my ever willing model Heloise, we went off to the studio. Here's a few of the images.

Thanks Barbara and Igor,

I must admit that I was pleased with the results I got and this is largely due to Marks continued excellent tutoring.

I still feel I have a long way to go to be up to Marks standard and consistancey. The shoot these images were taken in, was weighted in my favour, It's my 9yr old daughter and I had all the time I needed to get the shots.

Being able to get these results, when you have a set shoot time, with a paying client who has two children under the age of 5yrs that wont sit still is a completely different matter and is a very important skill I have yet to master.

I had the advantage of knowing how to get Heloise to relax and laugh, doing this with a child or even adult you have only met five minutes prior to a shoot beginning is a completely different matter.

At least I know I am on the right road to achive my goals. :)

Some nice images Mary, you look as though you have mastered the S3 as well as your D70.

See Mary .... told you so .... what lighting setup did you use?

Is it still the formation that we setup when I was down or did you try something different?

Hi Steve,

Thanks, Still using the lighting set up as discussed when you were down, also post processing has changed a little.

Also on this I was using the S3, something I have never really done before. I must say that I do like the colours you get from it in the studio.
