Hi!

Could anyone if you can let me know how to test dead spot in CCD?

I tried several shots with Len's cap on and veiwed it in full zoom. I did found quite a number of spot (red/green/blue) when the shetter speed is in 3 seconds. Are they the hot-pixels or not? Or only those in white is hot-pixels only.

Moreover, I tried several shots with white A4 paper and in some occation I found some "Water mark" spot when reviewed it in the
screen. Is it a problem for CCD?

Just want to know more before I go to Fuiji.

Thx

Thx Keith, Linhle and Kari.

I've already sent my cam to Fuji for inspection. They will repair and return to me by tomorrow.

However, I am not sure whether they will pick all the hot-pixels out and fix it. I am worry they will fix the "Brigthness" one only. It worrys me because if i understand correctly those "dim" spots will turn out to become bright hot-pixels very soon.

I have asked them to replace one for me as I brought it just last Fri but they refused to do. The CS representive said they will only replace for major defect. Their service really pissed me off.
