View Full Version : My Doc ...

This spring my severe back problem (caused by handheld shooting with 600/4 and 400/2.8) finally grounded me for a few months with a bad vertebral hernia, as many of you know already.
The surgery option was not good for me and I was blessed to find a Doctor who raised me back on my feet with an intensive therapy/physical training course. He is a sport Doc. and knows how to deal with these things very well.

As a token of my gratitude I shot a portrait session with him.
Two best (IMO) images below...

Glad you recov ered, he looks friendly, usulay doctors are scary. I like number one better, in the second he seems frustrated or something, not really smileing

Thanks Rekhon. He's in the studio for the first time, so maybe he was a bit scared :D ;)

Nice shots Igor, my only comment would be to not use a backlight with a person with little or no hair as the reflection is rather distracting.

#1 is GREAT ! Nice framing, nice pose, nice light, nice sharpness....

I also like #2, but..i don't know... maybe the framing, a bit wider, or the smile (seems a bit "tensed")... No ! Definitly #1  !

Hi Igor

#1 is my fav. The slightly more serious pose seems to suit him.

I agree about backlight, though it doesn't bother me THAT much :)
As for #2 we had a very brief session, he just had no time to fully relax :(

The right prescription is to send me the 600/4, so that we can ensure it doesn't happen again!

Glad you're back on your feet without any new scars!

HEy Igor ... glad you mending pretty quick now ... kudos to the doctor too ... what I have noticed over the past few years .. especially in the Uk, was that our GP's were all involved in your families medical history, and had treated your family for about 30 years ... now ... it seems the personal touch is no more, and you are but a patient in the long list of ever growing patients.

This is probably the best gratitude you could have shown the doc ... well done mate.

Ah, I see.
I think MOST of local doctors are "GA" (general amateurs)
