Oh goody! Apple is now selling Intel-based Mac Pro computers to replace the previous version G5 PowerMacs. Each Mac Pro has two dual-core Intel Xeon processors from 2GHz to 3GHz. It can have two dual-layer DVD burners, up to 4 SATA drives, and 16GB of RAM. The cheapest model is $2124.

I see one or two of these sitting on my desk in the near future! But what to do with all the old computers?

They do look pretty incredible performance wise!

Next MacBook series should get the mobile iteration of the Core 2 Duo ... That's when I plan to get into the intel mac scene!! Should be around adobe getting PS native on them!

I stopped by my local Mac store. They has the 2.66 in stock.

Now its a noisy store but i spun the machine around and stuck my ear to the back. Sounded pretty quiet to me :tongue2:

What surprised me most though was that the machine was cool, yes cool, to the touch, even though it was 4pm in the afternoon and had been running all day.

I sooooo want one now ....

If they are as good as my Intel 20in iMac then they will be great.
