 hello all,

being a new user to this forum, i thought it just wont happen to me: a problem with my brand new (3 hours old) finepix s2pro.

but here we are: when choosing in the set up the image display with the histogram the camera still shows to me only a short POSTVIEW without ANY histogram.

in other words, no matter what i try, i just cant set the camera to show me the preview with the histogram. it had worked initially but now no more.

could this be because:

1) i do not use the lithiums

2) any incompatibilities with my cf card

any help would be greatly appreciated!

i bought my camera mainly due to the user reports in this forum and now this. i am quite p..d off and see no fault on my side. am i missing a point or is this because of a spoiled cam ?

already thinking about going for nikon d100 as i intended initially... the image quality of the finepix is quite nice, but i do need a reliable camera in the first place, as i earn my living with pictures...

lumens,

i love you, that was it !

yeah i know there IS a danger for losing important shots and i would not use this for the field work, but in a studio it is just fine.

i have been playing with the iso knob und must have turn on the burst mode unintentionally!

btw. there is another prob with the cam, although i can live with it and may it is the software and not the camera: thin white line (maybe 5 pix wide) to the right side of the EVERY image which was converted in PS from the raw- format.

actually i have read about this somewhere on the net, but that was a story concerning the s1. i thought fuji has worked it out for the s2.

thanks a lot again for you helping me out with my new cam!
