I can't get ThumbsPlus (v. 5.01) to reveal to me the color, tone and sharpness settings, even with "Display all fields" checked in "options/file loading - EXIF". Is it possible to wring this information out of ThumbPlus somehow, or do I need to go back to scribbled notes?
Thanks,

OK, so this post didn't create a frenzy of replies. Fine. I figured it out myself. For all of you salivating to learn the answer, it turns out that the new ThumbsPlus 6 shows all the S2 settings recorded in the EXIF data.
I knew you wanted to know.

I was going to write you because I was downloading version 6 and was waiting for the code to install it. But then you go and do the same thing. What a bummer. Anyway, I use this program a lot, and I recommend it to my digital photography students. I have owned it for years. It's one of those things that I keep updating and using. Each version seems to get better and better. You can tell that these people are Cerious about their software.

I wonder if these fields aren't in a standard exif format. This is the information Adobe Camera Raw can't extract from a raw file. With that in mind, I'm betting that only Fuji's software can extract this data. On the other hand, it would surprise me if Cerious spent time figuring out how to hack .raf files to provide the data in TP6.

was becuase of the new web page wizard feature that links to a web page for each image, instead of just linking from the thumbnail page to a jpeg. To see what I'm talking about, click on my www and look at the Lakes Basin pics. I modified the templates a bit, and added photo captions with Dreamweaver, but ThumbsPlus did all the heavy lifting.

Okay, there isn't an indication of color temperature, just an indication of the auto setting. So the actual white balance value would have to be extracted from the file elsewhere.
The other values for color, tone and sharpening are for presets, so an application like ACR would have to translate those values to equivalent settings in the converter's interface. It's too bad ACR doesn't do that.

Your mention of ACR makes me think it would be very cool if TP could do the conversion. The current version does have an option for at least recognizing RAW files, but requires input of some info about the type of RAW file that I am clueless about. Nothing like a drop down picker with "Fuji S2" in it. Perhaps a couple of versions down the road.
