NEF converting...

I'm still running CS, and that won't convert the D200 NEF's correct? I'm wondering should I upgrade my PS to CS2 or spend the 100 bucks and get the Nikon Capture?

Correct you need to upgrade to CS2 to use PS, I forget what the upgrade cost is, however I love CS2 :)

CS2 works fine with NEFs and compressed NEFs, I've been happy with the results, but I've heard that NC does a better job- and I'm about to try out a 30-day trial to see how it does.

I changed computers with Linda and she has CS only on it. I can convert D200 NEFs with it but it is slow. There is a free viewer and converter here that does D200 files http://www.faststone.org/ but I have had no real time to try it out since I use Nikon Capture 4.4. Also we have ufraw which seems to work with D200 files.

I'm almost positive that the free program RawShooter will convert the D200 raw files for you Bujo.
