Hello,
Has anyone tried this lens? I'm thinking that it, along with a 1.4 converter, would be a nice 252-630 f4 equivalent on my S2 Pro. What do you think?
Thanks,
Mark

Sorry, but I've never seen this lens. The only hope I can offer you is that the 70-200 EX is supposed to be similar, and I've used that both with and without the 1.4 and 2x converters, and I've been pleased with the results. The only problem (of course) is that even with the 70-200, the combination of the focal multiplier of the S2 and the teleconverter gets you out of "hold-it-by-hand" range in a heck of a hurry.

Hi there
A friend of mine has this lens with the matching Sigma 1.4x TC and he just loves it. I played with it a few times and got some great shots. My hat goes off to Sigma - the finish is great, it handles well, and it is not too bulky considering it is f/2.8 glass.
Can you test drive one locally?

Hi Roel and Tom,
I was hoping to hear from someone who has used that combination. so thanks a lot. I'm not worried about hand-holding. It would be nice, but I really think that I would have to have VR for that at 300mm or more. Unfortunately, here in the United Arab Emirates it's very hard to get a look at a high-end lens like this. I would probably mail order from the States instead. Thanks for the info though. It seems like I could get comparable quality with this combination to a 500mm prime (on the S2).
Cheers,
Mark
