View Full Version : Indoor hockey shooting issue

The attached picture comes from tryouts to make the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team. The pic was shot in JPEG at ISO 1600, 1/500, at F2.8. I do not care for the clarity (lack of density as compared to a lower ISO) of the picture and was wondering if it would be possible to use the Fuji Hyper Utility, shoot in RAW and change the ISO to 800 or even 400 (make for the chance of a sellable pic when blown up to 8x10)? The lowest I can shoot these pics is at 1/350 because shooting any slower would tend to blur the moving players.

answered my own question. Shot at ISO 800 and used the RAW Fuji Hyper Utility EX to produce the following shot. Will make for a more pleasing printout at 8x10 than with ISO 1600. FYI... used 8/6 Sensitization to get the picture to look like.....
