D200's Selling For Big $ On Ebay

You can buy a D200 from most camera stores for much less than the ones on Ebay. Is it just people who 'want it now' and don't care or just not too smart? :)

Everyone wants the BIG must-have christmas present of this lunatic season - kinda like those wacko parents hunting and stalking for the Tickle-Me Elmo's a few years back (and don't you impute that I am equating the D200 to a Tickle-Me Elmo :D )

not just on FleaBay... some photography websites have people who are selling their new D200's at a premium - and, getting some flack for it too.

If I get a D200, I'll wait until the early adopters help iron out the problems and I can see if I need it to supplement my S3 and D2x. That way, I won't have to pay more than retail ...

Well, if someone else is willing to pay more for the new camera than the original buyer...while at the same time I also think it's a little tacky.

It's worth what a buyer will pay just about like anything else, sure will depreciate back down to suggested retail quickly though :lol:

Reminds me of the car dealerships with new models etc. where it flat shows dealer markup of thousands on the window simply because they feel the demand is there.

Hey has anyone ever noticed an authorized dealer on cameras selling for more then suggested retail like the auto dealers do though?
