The challenge is to share the holiday decorations for the season.
They can be anything, the inside or outside of your home, the town lights, landscapes of snow if you've got it, parties and feasts, to the store displays. Whatever gets you in the holiday spirit.
It's official, I've started my 4 day event of dragging box after box out of the basement. I've just begun, however the lights are on the tree and here is the first of numerous ornaments to be hung. Gosh I'll have to practice how to take this type of picture however I'll have fun learning, the carols are on, I'm working away, gotta get ready for my favorite mode playing Santa :)
Wishing you all good health, peace, and prosperity, Happy Holidays!

Thanks Melody, and welcome back :)
I haven't got an entry yet, but wishing you all the same, and I love the mood of your shots, takes me back to the magic of Christmas as a kid. :)

  Hello Frank you are something else! yes I've been referred to as Santa Melody must be something about my loving to shop and give presents......hmmm....gosh I just checked my list and I've checked it twice (as required by any Santa) no doubt you've been good, must be on another Santa's list be sure to forward this directly to the North Pole so it gets proper attention :D
Boy the rest of you are slow in your decorating although I admit I got busy at work and didn't finish either although it's now almost 2am Sat morning for me and I'm at it again so I can finish this weekend! Well I can't start putting packages under the tree until the house is ready to receive them! Do you know I saw a fake tree at the store for Christmas in the shape of a palm tree?! OMG I'll paint the darn fake snow on my windows first! Gonna be chilly this weekend we'll only hit the high 60's it must be winter!

Took an out of the way home to find this house Mel had spotted last week. Had to wait for cars to get out of the way as they'd slow down to look. Finally got them out of the way and damn! Someone pulled up, turned off the engine and got out. I was totally frustrated but seemed calm as I asked them if they lived there. Nope, just lookin'. Could you move your car forward just a bit? Compliance and I got three shots off before the NEXT car came by and parked. sheesh! Didn't they understand there's a challenge going on here?!?

Here is a Swarovski orament. It is hanging in our kitchen window. The sunlight spills through it and casts rainbows through the room.
Laura has wraped garland up the oak railing of our staircase with red velvet bows and gold (plastic) beads. Looks nice.
Electric candles in windows and garland and bows and lights at the door.
I like the Swarovski the best because it manipulates light directly.

Thanks Jim!! Your doing great! I must catch up I love your card scene of the snow landscape too!
Beautiful ornament Tim, your house sounds like it's beautiful, I'm rather partial to crystal myself.
I've got to go see more Christmas decorations myself I love the store display windows, and the homes all decorated up!
