Well, I just got the first run of book pages done. It took a while, but once I got the materials all in, the 2200 did crank them out.

I must say, it is not a cheap thing to print. You use a lot of the light cyan and magenta inks fast with people images at 8" x 8", but it does get done.

Now all I have to do is print about 4 more 26 page books double sided...Ah well, another day.

For anyone else looking to do double sided glossy work I can recomend the InkJetArt Duo golssy. It is not bronzing free, but is not bad either. It prints well using the Epson gloss profile with the 2200, though you will want a custome profile if you are picky. The micro ceramic coating does appear to work for me, and the paper can be picked up from the out tray and put back into the in tray for a print right away. I have had no ****ling with this paper.

I will get around to testing the Pictorico tomorrow, and I expect it to be good as well. Most of the other semi-gloss papers I have tested could not take the ink and had bad ****ling issues. Some were close, but none was as nice as the Duo. I hope Epson gets its double sided semi-gloss or luster on the shelves soon since it is just a bit nicer. In the meantime, this paper works.

Of course if you go for matt finish there are lots of options, but glossy or luster have been hard to find in double sided, and I hope this note helps people. When I have a test done with the Pictorico I will post results.
