Thought this might be different. The colors were from the sunrise. Here's one to start....

We have spiders, but I don't have web shots at hand :) Maybe this one will work?

Hey, it looks like we have the same type of spider. I took mine in a field in Missour? I can't believe I even got this close to him with my 100mm Macro. I'm not too fond of spiders. Webs are okay but not spiders.

I am quite fond of spiders - sure, they ARE creepy, but also encompass a certain feminism of sorts (maybe not exactly "sexy" LOL; but on an psychological level, they would go well alongside a Sharon Stone movie). Could watch em for hours when they slowly kill their hapless prey.
Alright, back to the pics - they are all nice, but the play of light in the first one by Connie steals the show.
Cheers,
Chris

Thank you Chris.
Although creepy I must say their swiftness and technique for capturing their prey is very interesting. This guy first caught the grasshopper, wrapped him up in about 10-15 seconds (or less) and then ran over across the web to eat a smaller catch.

Connie, both are top-class macros! I'm quite amazed with your progress rate remembering your first shots. You reached the top in a few months! Hats off again :) :hatsoff: :)

I think the first shot is really unique – the pastel colours are so unexpected in this environment. I don't think I'll be seeing any more, though. Igor's spider has seen me off!

Thank you kindly Igor. I believe that progess made has much to do with becoming more comfortable with what you are doing. I'm a slow learner but when I do finally catch on I do fine.

Thank you Steve.
Some of the best pictures are in the wee hours of the morning just as the sun comes up shining it's splendor across the earth, critters are not yet moving making them easy to approach. I've gotten use to Swampy kicking me out of bed early and dragging me out into the damp mornings........... my only requirrment is..COFFEE!!!
