17-55 D70 - nice combo

I find the D70 with the 17-55 to be a great combo.

is that a fancy-schmancy $1000, 2.8 lens? Like the colors/contrast.

Also, did you have a polarizer on it, the blue sky looks very rich in the last shot.

I think I saw this lens with several reader reviews over at FM's site.

Looks like a keeper. :)

OK, you got me... I cheated. I used a CP AND set the D70 to vivid. I love the velvia look!

Wow...great colors! I also have the same lens - it's amazing till when you start seeing the purple fringing.
I used the lens to take some product pictures the other day of a soldering iron on a white background. Got some major purple fringing on the four corners...
Apart from that..this lens is really good =)
