Killer LCD! Way to go! :righton: How did you end up choosing this one over any of the others? And, how much did it really cost? From the link you posted it doesn't sound to cheap. But the colors sure looked pretty sharp and vivid.
Hope you have fun enjoying your new LCD.

Hi Rick,
It wasn't hard it's an LED not an LCD and I don't know of any others on the market thus the high price for it. Retail price is $6749 without the calibration software, I got it a bit under that however not much, and I do have about another $400 to spend on the software I have one however I will get the spectraview which is specific for this monitor. Darn thing even shocked me and I don't get sticker shock easily
Your welcome to drive up and see it if you like I sure couldn't find one to see when I wanted to check it out.
Thank you, I'm enjoying it very much!!!

btw Rick some have called it an LCD so I guess it's true it's just that is uses LED backlights do they really need to make all these various products anymore confusing then they already are!

Thanks for the correction. It's a LED not a LCD. :) Either way IT IS hell for expensive. Must be worth it when you look at it. I would like to see it some time. PM where you live, if you don't mind. Thanks!

Hey, Melody. I didn't even know LED-backlit LCD monitors were an option. Thanks for the heads up. :) I guess devices such as digicams, ipods, etc all have LED backlighting for their LCD's, but this is the first I've been made aware of full-sized desktop monitors with LED lighting.
Doh! And with me being in the computer field, I'm supposed to stay up on these things! :troutsmac

You can thank Bryan he's the one who told me about it, sometimes I think I should just give him my mastercard but then I so come to my senses!
It is very nice I really like it, got to call tech support still as I also got some special calibration software made just for it..maybe I can get that done today.
My dad will be in Yuma for a few weeks in the next month or so....I'd bring it out for you to see however I'm afraid to carry it down the large flight of stairs at the office I might drop it!
