I have had this lens a very short time (in fact, I've had my S2 for only 2-1/2 months) and this image was my first image with the Tokina.
f:4.8
1-2000/sec
ISO 200 (big mistake)
EV-1.0
handheld...no polarizer (actually, I don't know how to use those rear gelatin type filters yet)
I love this lens...and many report it's as sharp at the Nikkor 300 2.8. I believe it's one of Tokina's best lenses...along with their manual 90 2.5. I'ts heavy to handhold but I don't have quick release plates on my new tripod yet so it's a hassle right now to use the tripod (or monopod). Also 1/3 the price of the Nikkor 300 2.8. I got mine on Ebay for $1350 in excellent, almost new shape. THe sun is abviously harsh as shown by the shadows...but you get the idea. I would buy another in a nonosecond if I lost it!!
