Does anybody knows what's the #!@$!!! is going on with this mode? I've tried to shoot, using "FireWire Shooting Mode" & about 30% of files had horisontal black lines on them in different places.

Please post a sample picture - it will help if we can all see the problem.

Yes, please post a sample. I've used the firewire shooting mode (PC controls camera and camera uses PC for storage) and both worked fine for me - PC controls the camera being a pain since you have to tell it to save each file though...

Thanks everybody for answering me. I found out that the problem was in the Fi-Wi cable. What kind of cables do you use ? Does it have "FOR DATA" label on it ? And does it have "ferromagnetic protection" barrels (I dont know what is this stuff on English but it looks like little barrells on two ends of cable-(usually USB) near the jacks).

those round things at the ends are called Baluns (Bay LOON). They are ferrite material that helps reduce RF interference that could slow your transfer speeds down. I've never had a use for them myself.

I use whatever cables I can find, and if I can't find them, I get Belkin Gold cables. Never had a problem with cheapo come with the product cables though.

Well, there are 2 files w/black lines. Probably the problem is very long cable(about 15 feet)?
