Ok, here's shots I've taken with the old 80-200mm AF non VR lens. The particular shot below was shot while standing, handheld at about a distance of about 75-100 feet.
1/1000, F4.8, ISO200 C,T & S all STD, WB Auto @200mm

This one was taken on a different day, handheld again at about a distance of 50 feet.
1/350, F4.8, ISO200 C,T & S all STD, WB Auto @200mm

This was taken with a Tripod and on-board flash in my backyard with a cable release (not so much for stability, but I was kinda hiding and didn't want to make sudden moves to scare him off).
1/60, F5.6, ISO200 C,T & S all STD, WB Auto, onboard flash

I was messing around at a local pond one morning. It was a little foggy and overcast when I took this. Handheld.

The Bokeh of this lens seems quite poor - is that a known fact or am i seeing things?

I had noticed that in the first picture at the top, but other shots don't seem to show it. Must be because of all of the intersecting lines from the grass/bushes.
For those of you who do not know what Bokeh is, it's probably something you should know if you're serious about photography. A great explaination of it can be read here:
http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/bokeh.htm
Where he actually praises the 80-200mm AF-S (the lens I used is the AF-D) for its great Bokeh.

Thanks for the quick reply, mmh, i even notice it in the water, pictures 1 and 2 definitely have it ...
mind, this is a great idea you were starting here to post images done with lenses other people may feel to aquire!
I wonder why it's only you postig here, i didn't look at the dates, maybe it's just so brand new. If not, go get them members to share shots here!!
I will definitely post - i only have a meagre set of 3 lenses to date, but i'll save up some to get more ;-)
Are you interested in the AF ED 180mm f/2.8 IF, the AF Micro Nikkor 105mm 2.8 and the AF 50mm 1.4 ?

Thanks Alexander! I knew people would like this.
Some of this bad bokeh may be from my sharpening methods. But I know the first one is bad. Don't know why though, maybe aperture played a big role in it...
I am interested in any lens that isn't listed already. All I ask is that you follow the format as best you can for the title, being the lens that you're posting pictures about. Start a new thread for each LENS. Send up mullitple pictures if you have some great shots. Or, if you agree with me or others (like my 24-120mm AF-D is a piece of junk), post some bad pictures.
Please do post some samples from your lenses, and fee free to add to the ones that are already listed. Make sure you add a note for each one with camera settings and anything about taking the picture (had to stand on your head, click the shutter button with your pinky finger, sun was 45.39956 degrees from your vantage point, etc...).
