I've been messin' with settings trying to get things just right...

Bibble has now become my primary RAW converter. But I thought I noticed a warm (or maybe magenta) tinge to images...

In case anyone wants to try Bibble these settings may help-

Let me know what you guys think if anyone uses it. I'm still using the expodisc for white balance.

I'm sure it is an excellent program Rich, but it turned me off when it doesn't have an "undo" (Ctrl+z). I ain't perfect and need all the help I can get... :D I use Raw Shooter, seems to get the job done for le$$. :) I'm still using the expodisc for white balanceI'm a little crude here too, just use the onboard auto WB most of the time. On occasion I will set the WB, then I forget when the light changes... :o

Yeah, the undo thing is a pain. I use the 'revert' feature... which reverts the image back to its saved settings. Most of the time that is good enough, but you're right, I'd like a cmd-z undo too.

Still, I'm real happy with it.

Dave, if you're shooting raw it doesn't matter what WB you have the camera set to. You set it in the converter. Also applies to expodisk. Haven't used mine for ages.

Ok a little clarification most of the time I use auto w/b as well (I shoot in a variety of directions and lighting within seconds of each other......I've got the expodisk as well maybe I should try that thing more then once )

Now I don't know about you Dave, I shoot jpg AND Raw on each pic so the auto helps, but Mike PS in raw convertor has: "as shot" , "auto" and the rest of the selections to pick from, the problem is at this time PS can't read the WB on the D2x remember??? That's why so many went to Rawshooter and Bibble now I've got to re-check rawshooter does it have an as shot setting and does Bibble as well? I know I deleted Bibble a long time ago I hated how it interfaced and messed up my PS.

Yeah, Bibble has the encrypted wb decrypted.

Looks like ACR now has it too.

How did Bibble mess up your PS? I don't use it as a plug in so much.

I've tweaked the settings again and uploaded them.

Since I now have my D2x set on -1/3 there is a .3 boost by default, which can be zeroed out and resaved.

Hope someone tries these out, I'm still happy with it.

Sorry Mike and Melody for not replying...I went back and checked my notifications and nothing except from Rich! Not that I'm ignoring Rich, but it didn't pertain to anything I could help or comment on. No...I haven't put either of you on ignore status...yet  :D

Haven't used mine for ages. You're right Mike, I have been shooting jpg + raw for so long until about a couple months ago that I forgot. Since the transistion to raw only the WB it won't apply of course. PS in raw convertor has: "as shot" , "auto" and the rest of the selections to pick from, the problem is at this time PS can't read the WB on the D2x remember???Melody, are you referring to PSCS2, that must one of the advantages to the update, eh? I'm not up to speed with CS2 yet and use RS for raw conversion.now I've got to re-check rawshooter does it have an as shot settingYes it does.In case anyone wants to try Bibble these settings may help-Rich, are you limiting these settings to Mac users (its not a PC friendly zip file ;) )...not all D2x shooters are Mac users  heck after buying the camera, I couldn't afford the Mac!

no CPU bias here... I uploaded the 4kb file and the mac.com site didn't like it... so I zipped it! How silly is that?

It's back as a zip file.
