View Full Version : Before you post a question...

Before you post a question, try using the search function at the top right corner. The S2 has been out for a while now and lots of people have posted their issues and have received answers and fixes for these issues.

Probably not my place to say this, but a lot of the questions I've been seeing here lately are repeats that have been answered already and if a search is done first, you'll probably end up with an answer right away instead of having to wait for someone to answer the question again.

Of course it's just fun to post anyway though. :)

Where's the chat room here anyway???

I agree. However, keywords used in the search criteria field must be at least 4 characters in length... which can be a problem. I once tried to search for a thread where the "S1" was compared to the "S2", so I entered "S1 AND S2". No go. Or maybe I am the only one with this problem...

Is there anyway to change this and prevent people like me from posting questions asked in other threads?

I know those two are only examples, but if you did a search for S1 or S2 here, you'd probably be just as well off manually looking through all the messages anyway since there are so many occurances of these two. There is probably a better word to use that's more focused on what topics you're looking for. Like an LCD one earlier today. Someone lost thier LCD protector. Sure a search couldn't be done for LCD, but I did a search for protector and the info he needed was there in 5 posts.

You can't search on terms with fewer than two characters anyway. I think it's a database issue.
