Make sure to give it a good run to verify that everything is in order. Specifically, high ISO noise level and sharpness.
Good birthday present from Fuji

They probably threw the mailing away explaining the free repair. We knew what it would be, it was just convincing them of it!

Eddie,
Theyre sending it to Japan!! so when it comes back.....in a month....if it has a problem....they have to send it back for another month !
Linda,
When I got to Fuji this morning.....i was told that they had recieved a technical sheet about the S2 ccd prob months ago......so why did they give me the run around on the phone???
To make it worse....when I got there I found they had another S2 with a dead ccd also en route to japan....the up side is my S2 will have company on the long flight :D

Woo Hoo!!!
And I have my first GOOD control strip out of my Fuji Frontier!!!
The software isn't working but the printer is!!!!
I may be in business soon. Fuji? I need your help! Seems I got my printer under my name but the server (software) is still under the previous owner's name so they can't help me with it until it's switched.

Linda,
Sorry to hear of the trouble. All you need is red tape after all the effort and expense you have expended for your new lab. Perhaps you need to call a lawyer! If you want, I can get you a referral to a great one in KC - named Hawk Jay or something like that.

You're too funny!
I picked the guy up from the hotel at 8:30 am, went straight to the lab, pointed him to the printer and made us coffee. Took lunch away from the lab and took him to dinner at 9 and dropped him off at his hotel.
InTENsive day. I feel like lots of the learning is leaking from my brain right now!
Today's another day and we did get both a control strip and the test strip out of the chemicals yesterday so we're headed in the right direction.
Our ftp site is almost up, too, so things are looking better, just have to get the Fuji stuff figured out. No time yesterday, not sure I'll have time today but Monday, they won't be able to escape!!!!

I too had the same CCD problem. The CCD delivered a green and yellow smear across the LCD and the same with pictures in storage. Having used this camera for more than 2-1/2 years, I thought I'd have to pay for repairs or replace my S2.
I delivered my S2 to Fuji in Toronto and 1 day later they reported they would replace the CCD without charge. Total turnaround less than 1 week.
Professional Camera, Professional Response from the maker. Thank you FUJI!
