I have used up the entire card with at least 102 (important) images in there but my computer cant read a thing from it, it seems to have completely blank out, how could this be possible :(

and when I fit it back in into my camera just to read the images number it displayed ZERO ! boo hoo hoo, went to properties i could see about 400 ++ mb being used, this obviously shows that there are images captured but i need help to know how to recover this images.

someone kindly help....

Several things come to mind, when you put the card back in the camera ,can you get the images on the LCD, if not , they have'nt been recorded. If you can see them the're on the card.

What are you using to download ?, if your using the camera via firewire, is the camera set to downoad or shooting, check under the menu ,'' p.c mode, = 1394 downloading''.
also check the camera is showing in windows explorer, if not check connections, if it is click on the plus sign this shows the DCIM, click on this to bring up the 100 fuji folder.
If your using a card reader, it will be the same ,but it will be shown as removeable disk and a letter( if you've got a multi reader there will be several letters,) try opening them all till you find the DCIM folder, i'm afraid thats all i can think of right now

Many thanks Guys for your help - the problem has been solved - read below...

It appears a fat corruption may have occured when plugging in the Compact Flash card into the Compact Flash reader... the files were still there but the FAT table was corrupted....

It was corrected from DOS using the command chkdsk /r which forces dos to recover the files.... Select YES to save all lost chains as files... this renames the files as .CHK which afterwards need to be renamed as .jpg

Hello,everybody!
I had this problems with missing files too. Ahd I found out that it happens most of the time when I load files to comp from CF.

1. Disable function in Fuji viewer that erases files on CF after loading
2. If you shoot TIFF or JPEG and there are no files on CF (but you saw them on in-camera viewer after shooting and you KNOW that you saved them), use "Digital Image Recovery" soft (It was free) It can find images on your card even browser says that it is emty.It does not work for RAF
3. If you shoot TIFF,JPEG AND RAF, use "Easy Recovery Pro". It casts money, but it can find ANY files on your CF .
4. Always format card before shooting.
P.S. Dear Mr.Moderator this is not ad of the software just the way to resolve problem of missing files.(when I got "no files to be loaded" I was about to cry)
