Just bought a Kingston Elite pro 2GB card which works fine with with the S2.
It's also faster than a microdrive.

Time to save 1 raw file std Compact Flash 16 secs
Time to save 1 raw file microdrive 9 secs
Time to save 1 raw file Kingston Elite pro 7 secs

The Elite pro is rated at 50x speed, i guess that a faster card such as 80x would not be quicker.

PS Dabs are selling 2GB Kingstons at £76 inc vat

That seems a good price.

I would check the postage on the ebay items. Usually they make it on that and it ends up the same price.

Good idea Andrew, (Checking postage), the first few i have looked at charge around £10, imho still worth making the effort and save £15+
Kind regards all

Hi Steve ! after reading your post, i checked on Kinston CF-cards, and i saw that they have 2 kind of Elite pro 2GB cards: one rated 13x and another one 50x !
Here's an URL with a comparison between the two:

...apart the "13x" and "50x", i don't see any real difference, even the prices are almost the same ! So, wich one to get ? Is there one that wouldn't work with my S2 ?

TIA,

I would guess that they would both work JP. I would go for the 50x as you will be able to download the pics to your PC quicker through a reader even if the camera can't use the extra speed.
