Hello friends,

I recently bought a S2. I did some shoots on studio for the first time and I discovered this surprise. I explain it.

I use two flash lamp (250). One conected to S2 (another to symptahy). In this subject I used a nikkor 50 mm 1.8 AF D. Yes is an average lense but meanwhile I wait for the 24-120 G Vr I bougth this lens in order to meet the S2.

On the "take one" picture I used a 100 ISO, f4.8, speed 0.004... welll the question is teh speed. I saw that when I shoot on 180 and more, this courtains shadow appear. But when I use 180 speed or less, the photo is good. And the apertures is indiferent.

I think maybe it is a coordination problem with the flash??? or the bad lens??? or the S2 is damage????

What do you thing friends.
Thanks.
Regards.

P. S.: the image JPG is with EXIF information.

Bohors,

Your S2 is fine.

The flash sync speed can only be 1/60 or 1/125 according to the book, but I've done 1/180 without problem. Your issue is that. You're using too fast of a shutter speed. Anything over 1/180 will not work.

You can go below 1/60 of course though.

Hello,

So the problem is there is no problem. As you say yes, I shoot with 1/180 and the flash works well. Then this is the top limit.
I can breathe.
Best.
