Some S2 Macro!

Great shot. I'd like to see a little more contrast, but that might be my monitor making it look a little washed out. The monitor I'm currently using isn't in the best shape. :) I'm looking for a good macro lens to buy, but not having any experience with SLR macro lenses I don't know what to get. How much of this image did you have to crop out? I'm just trying to get a feel for what size lense I need to pretty much fill the frame with a 2-3 inch object.

I cropped this very little. I have found that the Nikon 105 f/2.8 is a wonderul macro lens. Goes down to 1:1 macro, and is about as sharp as they come! It is also a handy lens for portriats, although I generally use my 28-70 f2.8 for that!
