We just returned from a week-long trip to Moab, Utah. I grew up living in Monument Valley, so we took a slight side trip through that area for some pictures as well. Here are a few from my collection of over 300. :D

Nice stuff there Shawn! Been trying to plan a trip out there sometime soon.
How was driving around out there? Is it kinda open area/drive anywhere you want? Not meaning destroy the area, but are there lots of dirt roads to get you into all kinds of places?

The Moab area has hundreds, if not thousands, of miles of dirt roads. They vary from fairly nice gravel roads that any truck could do to the very difficult rock climbing trails that require HIGHLY modified, long wheel travel vehicles in order to safely navigate. We rented a jeep and quickly came to some areas that a stock jeep could not pass through. The road went up and over some stair step sandstone rock that with about 2-foot-tall climbs. It would have really torn up something underneath had we attempted to continue on up that road. :) Most of the roads are in Canyonlands National Park. You have to stay on established roads/trails, but there isn't a shortage to choose from. We had loads of fun. Some of the off-road vehicles you see in Moab are real works of art, probably with as much money spent on their suspension setups as the vehicle cost new (long travel jeeps with spider-like suspension)...fun stuff. :D
