I'm just beginning to read the thread on what this really means to us if anything.

That just means that someone at Microsoft got tired of not being able to quick view his NEF files in Windows. Microsoft is committed to adding as much multimedia support into it's OS as possible, so you'll start seeing support for NEFs, CR2s, DCR's and many other RAW Formats. It doesn't take much to get support in a Microsoft OS, as long as you're not the only one using "it", they're more than happy to work with you (your company) to get built in support for whatever it is you're doing. I've done it before.

bunch of computer types.....naturally the politics interpreted of giving info to Microsoft and not adobe and such.......

honestly it bored me I read about 50% and quit :lol:
