Even more importantly, I just last night delivered a DVD package to a newly wed couple and they are very happy.

Sure I've taken some pictures that could have been better, but (counting on you all not to tell anyone this) I think it might have been my fault.

JR, what do you usually do when you photograph a wedding? Do you print the pictures? Photolab?
Just wondering.

Sorry I seemed to have missed this forum, but like others, I am happy very happy with my S2 after 11 months of faultless performance {the camera not me :-) }

I had posted this on another thread, so forgive me for just copying it again here for the record.

I would like to add my name to the growing list of people that just love their S2 Pro. I got mine in August 2002 and have had it almost a year now. Through June and July 2002, I had been tracking the news about the new S2 and managed to get my hands on one for a about half an hour at a promotional day at the local Calumet store here in Glasgow, UK. I was absolutely stunned by the images, which I had put on my own SM card and taken home with me. I immediately put my name on the list for one when it became available.

I got my camera with Microdrive on 1st August 2002, and have never regretted the purchase for a second. I am an amateur photographer, so the cost was a major consideration, but as I say, it has been worth every penny.

The camera has behaved faultlessly, ... I only wish I could say the same for my own skills. I find the camera very easy to use, and don't have any problems understanding the manuals.

Although I had a fuji 6800 digital camera, my previous SLR was a Canon EOS, so I had the additional expense of changing over to Nikon fit lenses. A friend at my local camera club loaned me a couple of lenses for a couple of weeks, and I eventually settled on a Nikon 208-105 and a Nikon 70-300G lens. The 28-105 is excellent, and while I am reasonably happy with the 70-300, it is a little slow on focusing for my liking, but considering the price, I suppose it is worth the money. I have since added a Sigma 15-30 lens, which I also find to be excellent having got used to being careful about lens flare.

I was a bit concerned about dust collecting on the sensor of the camera, and tried my best at blowing it away as suggested in the manual. With some trepidation, I got a chip cleaning kit (sensor swabs and fluid) and tried it out. No problems, so anyone worried about that problem should put it to the back of their mind.

My camera gets a fair amount of use (about 7000 images in the past 11 months) and apart from using a couple of Cr123a batteries every 500 or so shots, then I have no complaints.

The only gripe I have is with Fuji. The shooting software is an optional extra here in the UK, costing about 130 UK pounds. That was really a bit of a rip off, considering that it is included free with the camera in other parts of the world.

Check out my packages on my web site. http://www.robertsdigitography.com It shows what I do for my customers. They love the DVD and having my laptop at the reception showing the pictures from the church is always a big hit. I upload the pictures for prints.
