Bought a second hand S2 on numerous recommendations and spec, and because it would take my Nikon lenses.
So far I have been delighted with it! Then I read the problems thread....
but - the sensor isn't black! :)
checked for backfocus, there is no sign of that :righton:
checked for non horizontal grid lines - they were bang on
checked for dodgy serial number - not in the suspect ranges - so I am doubly reassured
(did have one incident, and I am glad it occured before I found this forum. Bought a second hand sigma 15-30 zoom from a shop. Found that depending how it was seated, the camera couldn't see it half the time and gave the 'no lens/chip detected' error; fortunately I thought it was allt he lens's fault, took it back to the shop, they had another lens in another branch, and swapped it. That one works fine! I now see this is a common sigma-fuji compatibility issue. If I knew that to start with, I may not have been so convincing when I returned the lens!)
