Or should I say the Sigma 75-750/4-6.3?

This lens has plenty of grab. Whilst it isn't the sharpest lens, it is a great allrounder. Its good with action sports, low light, and portraits with the S2.

90% of the stuff so far I've shot with it, is hand held. It is a heavy lens, but at 750mm and the shutter speeds I can select, I'm getting pleasing results.

Feel free to examine my shots on my website. Surfing, Football, the Zoo.

I'm a big fan of the S2/Sigma combo, so far.

I agree with your comments regarding sharpness. It is definitely not the sharpest Sigma lens I have had.
It doesn't compare with the 300mm Nikkor that I have but it is lot lighter/less bulky that carrying a whole set of lenses.

It's a great landscape tool as it really compresses the perspective in long shots.
