Vala "the wonder dog", an Icelandic Sheepdog at 8 weeks.

S2, fine jpeg, studio strobe, f16 @ 1/180, 200ISO, Nikkor 80-200.

Made a perfect 16 x 20 (Fuji archival) print, could see every hair on her body.

Nice shot! What were your settings for color, tone and sharpness (in camera)?

Very sharp shot,
- did you manipulate the photo in any way (sharpness, tone, contrast etc.)
- What was the image size set for, on the camera (almost looks RAW) ?

This was a fine Jpeg 4256 x2848 it was run through PhotoShop, sharpened slightly, and the blue in the flag was darkened somewhat.

This setup generally provides enough pixel info to print quite acceptable 16" x 20" photographic (or inkjet) prints. Even at 800 ISO (see Heron shot below) the quality is very good. If I want to go to 20" x 30" or have a difficult lighting situation I'll shoot RAW and make the final adjustments on screen.

That's a really neat picture of Vala! It's my new desktop background for a while. :)

I really like the bird shot too, but I don't care for the brown border. Here's a rendition I like. Hope you don't mind my tweaking it.
