Fuji would have to commit heavily to improving their software to even come close to the commitment the Kodak Software Team has.

We Kodak users talk regularly to them developers at robgalbraiths.com. They ask for opinions, listen and even <gasp> implement some of them requests. If they don't they expalin why or when it would happen.

I bought an S2 instead of the 14N but I am willing to revisit the 14n cuz they have continued to improve firmware and the software.

My only beef is the workflow with the software is so intergrated, you rely on it for everything. You just want sweet Jpegs straight from the camera, stick to the S2

I hear you Ian. I had a 420 and a 460 for years and the software from Kodak at that time was better than the current Fuji offering. Certainly more robust and intuitive.

It just seems like such a basic thing, you wonder why Fuji isn't doing something about it. At the very least they could admit defeat and give Adobe, or even Phase a opportunity to create suitable software.

I had a look at the 14n too. I wasn't as impressed as I should be. Frankly at this point I'd buy another S2 (even with the software issues) and some lenses and have money left over. The full frame sensor will only be a great idea if lenses are made that can support them with greater edge sharpness and even illumination. Also, I don't know about you, but I'm just not a big fan of 35mm proportions. I waste a lot the width. For my money Fuji should bring out an S3 with a 6 x 4.5 proportions. But that's just me!
