this scares you to death and you decide to send it in. Anyone know where or how to get a hold of them?
TIA.

Oh, I was wondering about customer service for the S2, because I am scared to clean the CCD.... as per catagory....CCD cleaning... sorry if I was not clear. Just to lazy to go look it up.

Yeah...I definitely need to have my CCD cleaned, as well. There is this friggin spot that keeps showing up giving people mole's in odd places...plus, I need for them to check out some other things as well...I wonder if they can give a loaner out in the meantime?

Hi there

Cleaning the CCD yourself is quite easy. About 4 months ago I sent my camera to Fuji to get cleaned... it came back "cleaner" but there was still dust on it. All for the low price of $CA 70.00 and 2 days down time :(

See this:

The first couple of times I did this on my own, I was a bit scared, but now, it is a piece of cake. For about $CA 30.00 I have all of the pec pads and eclipse solution I need to clean the CCD for the next 2 years... plus, it takes me only a couple minutes to do it - and in one pass, I get rid of all of the dust.

Try it! You'll be surprised by how easy this is. Just be careful not to put too much pressure on the CCD while cleaning it...

Make sure you read & reread his step 5!!!

Also, while on the few times I have had to swab clean it came clean in the first or second time, there was once that there was some more sticky goo??? on two spots that took a number of swipes & in my haste I ended up using too many drops, which lead to a delay & more swabbing to get rid of the "streaks."

Ok, it wasn't so bad. I used this method : http://www.fujifilmsupport.com/faq/tech/ccd_clean/s2_clean_ccd.pdf
Simply follow the directions, easy cheesy!
I did not use the Eclipse solution, I just used the pec pads and a plastic knife. Worked great.
