I was happy with the results except fo the lense shadow cast by the built-in flash.

Take a look at the preferred flash thread that's on the forum, you might be in need of an alternative flash, because the internal doesn't do the shot right. I like the angles, what lens did you use and what settings on the camera ?

Anthonie here are the camera settings,

these shoots were taken with a Nikon ED AF-S NIKKOR 28-70mm 1:2.8D Lense focal length 28mm, 400 ISO, Shutter speed 1/125, Aperture F8.0. I love the lense but it is rather large and sometimes gets in the way when the built in flash is used. Looks like im going to go with the Nikon Speedlight SB-80DX flash

I'm completely happy with the 80DX, I can absolutly recommend it. I'll post some flash shots this week. Happy shooting.
