I don't quite know where to post this so I have chosen here.
I was downloading some files from my S2 via Firewire to my G3 Prismo Laptop. The Batteries died on me half way through the download. I disconected the camera and put a fresh set in and saw that the microdrive was not initialised. I thought 'Oh My God!' now what do I do to recover the images.
I tried to remain calm and turned the camera off. I connected the firewire cable to the laptop and turned the camera on.
HOORAAH! the computer fixed the link and the drive was restored completely and no problems since.
I don't know why this should have worked but it did and so I thought I had better share the problem so that others who might have the same problem could give it a try.
