I don't know the technical term for this, but whomever can help me will know what I'm talking about. I think what I'm talking about is white balance.

When I print pictures or have pictures printed then turn out like they look when my monitor is set to 6500k. This is good, thats the way I want them to print out.

Monitors in general and by default are set to 9300k and a lot of them you can't even switch to 6500k as easily as my monitor. when I give someone a CD with pictures on it, I want it to look like what I see at 6500k, but there monitor will probably be on 9300k.

Is there a way (changes or group of changes that I can batch) in Photoshop 6.0 that I can make pictures look like 6500k when they are shown on a monitor that is set at 9300k??

Thank you
JR

The problem is that a lot of monitors are not calibrated. This has been digital's fatal flaw. The image you see on your monitor will not be the same on another unless it is calibrated and profiled. Making a correction or action in Photoshop will work for one or two monitors but not very many unless they are calibrated to some known standard.

I shoot commercially for a living and this problem is a pain in my posterior on a daily basis. Even advertising agencies don't calibrate their monitors. And don't get me started on direct clients. I have several who have learned to trust my images even though they don't look "quite right" on their monitors.

Best regards,
Randy

There must be some kind of standard. I have three computers at home, and several availiable at work. I've looked at pictures on all of them and they look similar to what they do on my computer when it is set to 9300kelvin. So all I need is a way in Photoshop to make a picture that looks right at 6500k, look right at 9300k.
