I got my S2 just three days ago. I am still horsing around learning about it. I took the picture linked above hand-held in my front yard today (1/125, F5.6, RAW mode, all settings ORG). I converted it to a tif, sharpend it a bit in PS and downsized it to a jpeg.
I was big into photography in high school and always planned to get back to it when I had more time and money. I now have a little more money. Anybody know where to get time? ;)
I actually favor B/W. I am planning to mate my S2 with a new Epson 2200 soon. I read that it does a great job on B/W.
Unlike the reports on many forums, I had little trouble finding my S2. I called about five mailorder places before I located it. It was here in two days. So just keep calling around if you are still looking. A 1 GB microdrive came today.
I am going to cancel my order for a D100 with Ritz tomorrow. :p
